A Car Without Emblems

OMG!    I can not believe this.   My Honda's two emblems fell right off into my hand.   I was getting an oil change and happened to touch the emblem on the hood and the thing just fell off.   I went around to the back and touched it and it did the same.  How weird is that?  So odd that  they  haven't  fallen off on the road in my travels. Now I have a keepsake.
And yes,  I am still driving the Honda.  The odometer has just turned over to...you guessed it.   That's right,  she now has 296,060 miles on her.  I can't believe how quickly time flies.   I really have looked for a new car but it has been on Sat or Sun after those pesky, lying, conniving, sales people have packed up and left for the day.   In June, I did  test drive the Ford Focus, Ford Fusion.  I forget which one parks itself but I got to park it 2 times.  That my friends really cool.   They had nice tech stuff but the trunk was tiny.   I also drove the Kia Rio which really was quite fun.  I drove it to Florida and it was a peppy little thing.   I really loved it.   The seats kinda bothered my buxom thighs and the ride was really rough.  One time, I hit the RR tracks going about 30 mph and the next thing I see is Granny air borne.  Not really, but we both came off the seats.  I think the seat belt really held us down.   I also drove the Kia Forte 2011 hatchback.   It was nice too.  It was loaded.  It had touch screen nav, push button start,  auto lights,  key fob,  back up camera.   I wished I had bought it.   I can't find another.  It rode rather meekly.   Not a fun, peppy, little car like the Rio.   I also drove the Honda S2000.  It by far was my fav.  Who does not love a Red convertable?   It was so fast and fun to drive.   I probably would have gotten it, but again the trunk was too small.  I couldn't even fit 24 pack of toilet paper in the thing.  I also drove the Hyundai Elantra Limited 2012.   Nice car as well.   And I recently drove a Kia Forte EX sedan over 1000 miles.  It was pretty fun to drive but also a bit sluggish.  It seemed like I only filled up the tank once or twice.   Kidding of course!   Anyhow,   I think it will be the one.  Unless, the Elantra steals my heart again.   Unfortunately, when I drove the Hondas in June.   I was not impressed.   I wanted to be but after seeing the Korean built cars,   they were hard to ignore.   So now I have to print out all my info and price sheets so I am prepared.  And,  find the dealer I want then go haggle with those turds and try to get a good deal.   I am yearning for that new car smell and FM radio.  I also really like the idea of wheel controls for the radio and phone.  It will make my life easier for sure.   If anyone is in a playful mood, feel free to submit your guesstamate of how many miles the Honda will have when I finally purchase my new car.   Her next oil change is due at 300K miles.
